Wine run Windows Applications On Android
Wine for Android can run Windows applications on your Android device. Wine itself is not an Emulator but rather a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems. It won’t run your standard Windows applications on just any Android device, though. Wine isn’t an emulator, which means you’ll need an x86 Android tablet, smartphone, or Chromebook to take full advantage of it. Unfortunately, there aren’t that many Android devices with x86 chipsets out there, though the growing list of Chromebooks with ARC support is promising.
Wine will always be free software. Approximately half of Wine's source code is written by volunteers, with the remaining effort sponsored by commercial interests, especially CodeWeavers, which sells a supported version of Wine. Wine is heavily reliant on its user community too. The source is available now. Binary packages are in the process of being built, and will appear soon at their respective download locations. How to Install programs:
- Download the application. Take note of where you save it.
- Open the Wine Command Prompt window.
- Type the path to the location of the program.
- If you have saved it to the Download folder on your SD card, type: cd sdcard/Download/[Appame.exe]
- To run the file in Wine for Android, simply input the name of the EXE file.
